Education and TrainingPHPIC® does not provide any formal accredited educational training (Building inspection courses) for its members; we are not in that business. All candidates wishing to pursue educational opportunities are recommended to enrol in home inspection courses provided by accredited training providers. Please visit www.nationalhomeinspector.org for the complete list of accredited training providers currently approved by the NHICC.
Yearly CEUs
We are starting to expand our education Continuing Education Units system (CEU) and as per our recent meeting with NHICC there is an agreement that seminars/ webinars CEU points from other professional associations such as Architectural, AIA, AAT, Building Science BEC, CSC, Building Official chapters, some Realtor Training courses are all accepted CEU’s for continuing education.
These are recognized training in the construction and professional building design communities. Even other Home Inspection Associations meetings or on line training have good value.
PHPIC is responsible to monitor and double checking on the CEU courses. If in doubt about a course send us an email for clarification.

I hope this gives you a sense that there are lots of professional association approved Con –Ed points available based on the products you see in construction every day. When taking this type of training it is important to list the units print off or store as a (.pdf) on your computer the test if any for back up of the training review if requested.
